One of the “Joke-Secrets of Spirit” was revealed to me once, the secret of
“is-ness.” The human experience brims with the struggles of desire, ambition, and
wanting things to be different. We adjust our attitude. We change jobs. We peruse
online dating. We try, we try, and still, we try. But the joke’s on us; for as ruthlessly as we pursue our goals,
things simply are. Life simply is. We try. We succeed at times. We fail
at times. Spirit moves. We can accept the free ride, or we can struggle with the
reins.
